This is a Supplier Manufacturing Engineering production support position for the F35 program located in Redondo Beach, CA. The individual hired will be a focal point for F35 domestic external production/acquisition activities through coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will also support international suppliers as needed. The ideal candidate will be experienced in aircraft structures, composites, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, electrical systems, support equipment, as well as aircraft assembly processes and materials. We are seeking a candidate with highly developed interpersonal skills, a personal drive to exceed, and the capability of working in a small, high performance team environment.
Activities include, but are not limited to: providing expertise to identify alternative hardware and supply source solutions for general support equipment, identifying and resolving technical issues or questions about parts between suppliers and program engineering, and determining tooling requirements. The Individual will perform duties such as facilitate Production Readiness Reviews, provide dispositions on Request for Change/Information (RC/I), review Engineering revisions, represent the organization at the Program customer level, and provide technical leadership and support to Global Supply Chain personnel, as well as all levels of NGAS management.
Travel required: up to 15%.
Bachelor's of Science Degreein STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering or Mathematical)with 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or an engineeringfield; OR Masters Degree in STEM
Documented experienceformulating and executing solutions to production challenges
Experience reviewing Blueprints and 3-D models
Experience withMicrosoft Office Suite
Ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, functional departments, and suppliers
Ability to obtain and maintainan active DOD Secret Security Clearance
Strong project management skills
Experience with hands-on machining and/or production assembly line
Familiarity with ITAR requirements
Experience working with Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Experience working with Systems Applications and Products (SAP)
Experience working with CATIA Cad Software
Active DOD Secret Security Clearance
