This role is a Functional Manager reporting to Communication and Mission Payload [CSMP] Systems Engineering Director. Lead 100+ system engineers with technical expertise in Mission payload architecture, analysis, modeling/simulation, research and technology. Focus area of department is in the electro optical sensor and payload programs and business areas. Leadership role in all CSMP activities, focusing on program performance, support to business development and technology development activities, employee development, staffing and recruiting, performance management, and process and product development. Champion and participate in Systems Engineering strategic initiatives to enhance sector-wide performance, refine our processes, and to maintain strong customer relations.

Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 7+ years of engineering experience (5+ with a MS, 3+ with a PhD)
Active DoD Top Secret/SSBI clearance and/or active SCI access
Prior experience as a manager or a team lead
Prior experience in functional management
MSEE or MSME with emphasis in Remote Sensing, Electro-Optics, IR systems or Communication Systems
10+ years of experience in Systems Engineering
