Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Redondo Beach, CA has an opening for a Manager, Subcontract Administration 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse, individuals for our Redondo Beach, CA and lead the Advanced Responsive Integrated Systems (ARIS) Subcontracts team in support of the Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD).
Direct Supervision of ARIS Subcontract managers who are managing a staff of Subcontracts management professionals by assigning work priorities and daily assignments necessary to support the program objectives.
Work closely day-to-day with the ARIS Director, Global Supply Chain Program Management (GSCPM) to accomplish BU execution priorities. Provide input into strategic objectives with both initiation and execution of these objectives.
Provide effective oversight of the Subcontracts team that ensures compliance with established policies and procedures. The work will be conducted in an IPT/SMT environment to ensure all aspects of the subcontract - cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance in support of BU requirements and commitments are met.
Co-location with Director and GSCPMs, working closely with them to manage a portfolio of critical and complex subcontracts, including, but not limited to the following tasks:
Managing a team responsible for development of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services
Preparing bid packages, conducting bidders conferences, analyzing and evaluating proposals, negotiates subcontractor proposals, selection of subcontractors, creating Subcontract awards, and administers resulting subcontracts
Negotiating and implementing additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts
Supporting various program proposal, ECP, and CROM activities
Collaborate closely with other key ARIS functions and stakeholders such as Program Management, Contracts, IPT Leadership, Engineering, Price/Cost & Compliance
Prepare and present executive level presentations
Bachelor's degree with 7 years (5 years with a Masters or JD degree) of Supply Chain management experience, Subcontract management experience and/or Contract management experience, plus at least 2 years of leadership/management experience
Active TS and/or Secret DoD clearance with SCI clearance or ability to secure SCI clearance
Experience leading a team/process/project
Working knowledge of SAP
Previous experience leading other functional managers (hard-lined or dotted-lined)
Subcontracts experience and familiarity with Space programs and suppliers
