The Engineering and Ground Support Department (EGS) within Systems Integration, Test and Evaluation (SIT&E) has a need for a Sub Project Manager (SPM) for the AMP ATL group. The position will encompass management of Mechanical, Electrical, and Payload Integration & Test for multiple major enhancements. Additionally, the role will include Mechanical I&T Proposal Lead facilitation on future enhancements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, planning, preparing and implementing proposals and baselines (schedules, budgets and strategies) for major cost accounts.

  • I&T planning and execution of enhancement contracts, managing risks, supervising first level managers and experienced engineers crossing multiple disciplines.

  • Leading planning for upcoming I&T events,management and oversight of floor operations and testing of enhancements,

  • Staffing coordination with functional management and other subproject/assistant project managers.

  • Driving adherence to I&T standard processes.

  • Cost Account Management of budget and schedule and monthly EVMS reporting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A STEM related Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of7 years' experience in Engineering,Program or ProjectManagement

  • Demonstrated success in managing projects to cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements.

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate effectively at all levels of management and to individual contributors

  • Experience in proposal development and negotiations.

  • An active, in scope SSBI (investigation within the last 6 years)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with AMP program Integration and Test

  • Prior experience with Earned Value Management and MS Project

  • An Active SCI clearance
