Northrop Grumman's Aerospace System's Vehicle Engineering (VE) organizationis seeking a motivated candidate that will fill the position of Attitude Control Subsystem (ACS) Sub-Project Manager (SPM) for a large restricted program. The position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
The ACS Manager is responsible for managing a team of 15-20 ACS analysts, ACS subsystem engineers and hardware engineers who are responsible for the development of multiple ACS baselines for multiple increments. The selected candidate will interface frequently with other internal and external organizations. The manager will be tasked with setting and operating to objectives and providing guidance to employees. Additional responsibilities include planning, risk management and project performance, addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for related software activities. Candidate will work closely with the Control & Power Systems Manager (APM) and will be responsible for directing all ACS development as well as integration and test aspects from inception through completion. The candidate will be responsible for the cost, schedule, leading and presenting status at technical exchange meetings, design walkthroughs, selloff.

Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills and professional development/mentoring skills
Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop effective processes
Technical background in Attitude Control Subsystem design
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
Minimum of 7 years of experience
Experience in ACS development deliverables and processes
Current DoD SCI Clearance required
Program domain knowledge preferred
Works very well in a team environment
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills
