Plan, design, coordinate and supervise the creation of real-time and near-real-time software architectures to model a complex aerospace system in a Virtual System Integration Laboratory (VSIL) execution environment, i.e., no Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL). Perform top-level software architecture design of complex real-time test environments with multiple subsystems and components. Generation and management of multiple, interconnected Virtual Machines (VM) representing subsystems or components. Design of virtual data busses to deliver data messages to and from VMs. Design device drivers to enable virtual data busses to translate message to actual (physical) data busses (and vice versa). Enable plug-and-play of VM representation (model) of an operational Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) executing actual Computer Software Configuration Item (CSCI) with actual LRU and CSCI.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) major with 5 years of related experience. 3 years with Masters; 0 years with PhD

  • Experience in top-level software architecture design of complex real-time test environments with multiple subsystems and components

  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Generation and management of multiple, interconnected Virtual Machines (VM) representing subsystems or components

  • Design of virtual data busses to deliver data messages to and from VMs

  • Design device drivers to enable virtual data busses to translate message to actual (physical) data busses (and vice versa)

  • Enable plug-and-play of VM representation (model) of an operational Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) executing actual Computer Software Configuration Item (CSCI) with actual LRU and CSCI

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
