Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Engineer Industrial 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
Statement of Work / Responsibilities :
The Industrial Engineer supports the Industrial Engineering and Scheduling organization in process and systems & integration projects. Have an understanding of Industrial Engineering and Production Scheduling, as well as in using ERP systems such as SAP. Individual will help interpret capacity analysis and incorporate into what-if scenario simulations before applying to project schedule for review.
Responsibilities include the following:
Develops and implements plans that ensure the timely availability and effective utilization of labor, facilities, equipment, & tooling resources enabling the achievement of program delivery and cost milestones
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities
Develops and summarizes analyses for the acquisition, maintenance & enhancement of capital assets and miscellaneous equipment
Provides capacity planning, shop-loading and staffing analysis for functional production teams
Analyzes existing operational processes and develops metrics and reporting to optimize and improve program & operational performance
May be required to split support over more than one product line and manufacturing area, and support multiple program or production managers
Bachelor Degree in (STEM) with5 years performing Industrial Engineering roles and/or functions;OR Master's Degree in STEM with3 years of performing Industrial Engineering roles and/or functions
Experience working in a manufacturingenvironment and hands on experience using shop floor production system (Solumina, MES, etc.)
Experienceusing ERP systems (SAP)
Proficientin MS Project, Excel & PowerPoint
Proficientwith AutoCAD or Visio software
Ability to obtain and maintain a SCI clearance.
Report programming experience (SQL, Crystal, MS Query, Bus. Objects, etc.)
Space Technology Experience
Current SCI Clearance and the ability to maintain clearance
Documented experience working in a robust IPT environment
Active SCI clearance
