Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a highly qualified, mission oriented Payload Test Engineer 3 in Redondo Beach, CA with responsibilities including (but not limited to) the following:

Test Engineer who will participate in all phases of the integration and test of a payload subsystem. Specific assignments will include requirements definition, development and execution of RF and digital test procedures, subsystem and test set troubleshooting, development of data analysis tools, test data review and analysis, participation in formal system testing, and anomaly resolution.

Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.



Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in a STEM - science, technical, engineering or mathematics related educational field plus five years of related experience

  • ExperiencewithRF test and measurement

  • Active SCI clearance required

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in some or all of the following is desired

  • Linux, C, Python

  • RF and digital systems

  • Signal processing and numerical algorithms

  • RF measurement equipment (spectrum analyzer, power meter, network analyzer).

  • Basic Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing

  • Must work well in a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
