Job Title: AMP Space Vehicle Systems Engineer

Job Description: Support requirements development, design and verification products for AMP Space Element Systems Engineering. Leadership of SE team's development of attitude control related requirement allocations. Leadership of SV teams efforts to develop simulation test cases and simulation requirements.

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university with 14+ years systems engineering experience; 12+ years with a STEM Masters, 9+ years with a STEM PhD.

  • Previous experience working with space applications, i.e. space vehicles, subsystem, hardware, or operations and test

  • Active SCI or SSBI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with SV attitude control design

  • Previous experience with SV simulations

  • Good communication and management skills

  • Self motivated, quick study, and interested in working in a team environment

  • Experience with requirements development and management
