Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer 2 to work in Redondo Beach, California. This role will be a full time, multi-year IRAD effort developing prototype guidance system for use in various programs. Will be supporting Guidance NCTA testbed activities. Responsibilities include developing integration and checkout plans of test equipment and guidance subsystem components into the testbed during development phase. Responsibilities then transition to developing test plans and procedures for demonstrating the Guidance System functionality and performance

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an ABET accredited institution and2+ years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment OR

  • Masters of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an ABET accredited institution

  • Practical working experience writing test plans and procedures

  • Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advance STEM Degree

  • Hands-on electrical test experience

  • Familiarity with aircraft or space guidance, navigation and control systems a plus

  • Familiarity with unit and system environmental level testing (dynamics and thermal) a plus
