Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a highly qualified, mission oriented Thermal Test Engineer 1 to perform on a team of cross-discipline specialist engineers located in Redondo Beach, CA with responsibilities including (but not limited to) the following:

  • Provides Engineering in support of Thermal Vacuum and Thermal Cycle testing of complex space hardware.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology,Engineeringor Math)fieldfrom an accredited university

  • Ability to understand and interpret Engineering drawings and associated requirements,document test needs and ensuing results to satisfy project thermal test needs

  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer fluency ability to work well within a team of engineers and technicians is desired

  • Active SCI/SSBI clearance desired

  • Previous experience working with spaceor aeronauticalhardware

  • Familiarity with thermal test chambers and processes

  • Labview application in lab operations

  • Understanding of complex electro mechanical hardware

  • Ability to design test fixtures

  • Create test requests/test plans
