Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking an Aerospace Assembly Technician 3to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will work within the Ground Manufacturing Lab Assembly team based out of Manhattan Beach, CA.
This role will offer performance based career advancement.
The selected candidate will have some experience in assembly operations, familiarity with shop routines and use of hand and power tools.
In this role, the selected candidate will be trained and certified within the first weeks of employment. This individual will be expected to:
Work from drawings, blueprints, manufacturing specifications and procedures, quality procedures and instructions, operations work sheets and company, military and customer specifications procedures.
May require working with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials and other commonly used chemicals used in manufacturing.
May disassemble, modify, rework and reassemble assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications.
Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.
May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
Adhere to all applicable environmental, safety and health, and operations procedures and directives.
Notify supervision of any/all malfunctions, defects and damages of equipment, material and product.
Check work for completeness and accuracy.
Perform Production Accountability duties associates with the processing, verification, and quality auditing and inspection of assemblies, parts and tooling for which the individual has been delegated production accountability.
Keep work area clean and orderly.
May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or experience in assembly operations.
Familiarity with shop routines and the use of hand and power tools required for this position.
Prior experience working in a manufacturing setting

Experience in interpreting shop math, blueprints, electronic data, specifications, manuals, operations work sheets, and verbal instructions
Maintain required certifications
