Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking an Administrative Assistant 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in support of a program located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Essential functions consist of:

  • Communicating with executive, administrative, customer and management personnel to gather or convey relevant information

  • Coordinating internal and external briefings/presentations, management meetings and customer interface and customer visits

  • Responsible for maintaining Director's schedule and coordinating critical customer and management meetings

  • Coordinating calendars, extensive, frequently changing travel arrangements, expense reports and all forms of correspondence

  • Providing support to Director's team, including scheduling internal and external meetings, lunch for meetings

The successful candidate will be a vital member of the Program team and perform in an administrative leadership role, which by nature of the position involves high-level contacts and exposure to sensitive program, new business, personnel and technical information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment. Must be an exceptional team player, interface well at all levels in the organization. Must also be collaborative, proactive, self-motivated, well-organized, detail oriented, and assertive as necessary and able to execute projects and tasks independently.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School diploma or GED

  • 6 years of experience in an administrative assistant role including supporting managers, directors or executive leadership

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

  • Advanced proficiency in business and travel expense system (Concur, Edge, or similar) with complex, frequently changing travel

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret and SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision

  • Must exercise good judgment while demonstrating flexibility and agility, prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, managing schedule conflicts, and providing excellent follow-through

  • Must be knowledgeable of office operations and established NG policies and procedures and have a strong network of resources across Redondo Beach

  • Outstanding verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality

  • Current and active DoD Top Secret; SCI with SSBI within last 4 years
