We are seeking a Remote Access Service (RAS) Telecommunication Tech to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Raleigh, NC and is an on-site position with no telecommute possibilities. You will join the Remote Access Service Operations Team as part of the ETS Contract supporting the United States Postal Service.
This individual shall independently perform enterprise-level network troubleshooting, propose enhancements to improve performance and reduce costs of maintaining a compliant network. They shall work independently or semi-independently with a minimum of guidance or direction.
Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Troubleshoot layer 2 and layer 3 network equipment
Coordinate with remote users to install/configure equipment on site.
Routing/switching (Cisco) installation and configuration
Follow service now tickets to closure
Good written and verbal communication skills
Two Factor Authentication management and troubleshooting
Product and site record keeping
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Minimum 3 years of network related experience
Knowledge and with the configuration, deployment and support of Cisco networking devices
Experience troubleshooting Cisco VPN services at layer 2 and layer 3.
Experience deploying VPN networking equipment in a large Enterprise.
Experience with network troubleshooting tools in a large Enterprise.
Experience with incident and change review system in a large Enterprise.
Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance - US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), and must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years.
Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Experience with administration and troubleshooting Windows operating systems (client/server) in a large Enterprise.
Experience with Windows Active Directory in a large Enterprise.
