Northrop Grumman Principal/Sr Principal System Modeling Simulation Engineer in Plymouth, Minnesota
Northrop Grumman is in need of a System Modeling Simulation Engineer to work at its Plymouth, Minnesota location. The Systems Integration Engineer will drive and perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems as an individual contributor or through an assigned project team.
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
This position will be hired at either the Principal or Sr Principal level, depending upon the selected candidate's qualifications.
Qualifications:
Principal level Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required with 5 years of experience, or Masters degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 0 years of experience.
Must be a US citizen
Systems Integration Experience
Datalink Communication Systems experience
Internet of Things System Design Experience
Experience with UML
Principal level Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors or higher degree in engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering strongly preferred
Experience in defense and/or aerospace strongly preferred
Experience with Teamcenter Systems Engineering and/or DOORS
Experience with Cameo System Modeler
Engagement in 1-2 professional engineering organizations
Sr. Principal level Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required with 9 years of experience, or Masters degree with 7 years of experience, or a PhD with 4 years of experience.
