Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager of Programs 3 to provide leadership for our Air Defense and Counter Unmanned Systems Portfolio headquartered in Plymouth, MN .
Seeking a highly skilled, experienced and motivated individual to lead the Air Defense and Counter Unmanned Systems Portfolio with direct report to the Senior Director, Precision Weapons, Armament Systems, Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems. Responsible for portfolio strategic direction, planning, resource management, technology development, systems design, pursuit capture, corporate/partner team synchronization and program management. The position will include:
Leading the synchronization of Air Defense capabilities with Advanced Ammunition and Weapons Systems.
Understanding of Government Requirements, Funding and Acquisition processes in order to influence and shape procurement plans and assist in creating and sustaining business.
Building and maintaining customer relationships, understanding requirements and assessing opportunities.
Interacting with Business Development to design and execute strategic pursuits.
Working closely with Engineering to ensure air defense programs and IR&D efforts are developing technologies that have direct application to current and future customer requirements.
Managing discretionary initiatives to protect and grow the portfolio.
Developing portfolio strategy nested with corporate mission, vision and strategy
Understanding of customer base analysis and targeted stakeholder campaign plan.
Building a cohesive Team and providing leadership to achieve goals and commitments.
Bachelors' degree in engineering, physics, math, business, or related discipline.
Ten or more years of experience in government requirements, funding and acquisition processes.
Ability to build strong relationships across multiple disciplines and divisions to ensure alignment of people and resources to achieve objectives.
High degree of knowledge for managing programs/pursuits and developing product strategies.
Strong formal and informal communication skills with employees, management and customers
Ability to make sound decisions and exercise appropriate judgment.
Ability to plan, follow-up and deliver to commitments
Ability to manage cost, schedule technical performance of discretionary efforts.
Ability to manage risks and opportunities to proactively influence positive outcomes.
