Northrop Grumman Windows Systems Administrator 2 in Palmdale, California
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence Northrop Grumman is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to join our team in defining the future. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Information Technology support team.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
Interact with users and evaluates vendor products.
Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinate installation and provide backup recovery.
Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Administration of Windows Systems within strict security policies and procedures.
Complete understanding and application on principles, concepts, practices and standards as related to Windows OS.
Creating accurate, detailed technical procedures and installation instructions.
Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
Prepare security documentation for submission to the regulatory agencies as required.
Available for 24/7 support when needed.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with engineering users, other systems administrators, and computer/facility organizations.
Good verbal and written communication skills are a must.
ITS3500 Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of bachelor's degree or 0 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.
Candidates must have a current DOD Top Secret level security clearance (or higher) with an original adjudication, or a periodic reinvestigation date, completed within the last 6 years to be considered.
Current IAM DoD level 1 Security certification (CAP, GSLC or Security+ CE).
Familiarity with Backup and Recovery Best Practices.
Knowledge of BackupExec and Netbackup products.
Familiarity with HP StoreOnce products.
