Northrop is looking for a tooling IPT (Integrated Product Team) manager that will be responsible for developing and directing internal/external technical integration utilizing the most affective and affordable Tooling and Automation products & services in the industry.
Manages all offsite tool fabrication and design activities- Responsible for program and technical performance while providing objective-oriented direction to hard lined or dotted line reporting personnel, utilizing management guidelines & general policies, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Insures Tooling support of build/maintenance for production transition and sustained efforts including Metrology for validation/verification of product support. In addition, establishes, maintains, and improves processes/procedures to support PAICoE program efforts and supports the promotion of consistent current and common tool
sets & processes across the organization, program IPTs, by collaborating with other Aerospace Systems Sector Tooling Management.
Monitors and manages Risk items to insure mitigating actions are effective and timely and promotes Lean, Knowledge Management, and other process improvement initiatives as well as sharing of lessons learned and best practices throughout the organization.
Management duties include personnel performance evaluation, merit planning, employee development, and utilization of EVMS to manage direct costs.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Bachelor's Degree with 5 years engineering experience ORHigh School Diploma/GED with 9 years engineering experience.
3 years of leadership experience.
Ability to coordinate withvarious people ranging from fabrication experts to engineering experts in an effort to define large/complex statement of work
Ability to communicate with various levels of leadership
Must be able to coordinate and resolve interpersonal and technical problems
Must work well either in a team environment and independently
Ability to work well with little to no supervision
This position requires having the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program access.
