Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Test Tech 3to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs a variety of duties in the mechanical, and electromechanical areas.

  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains motors, actuators, hydraulics and other related equipment, components, devices, or systems.

  • Solve and document fabrication problems associated with mechanical, electrical or electronic parts or assemblies.

  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.

  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format; uses predetermined methods, sequences, and setups to inspect or test specific equipment or product, making modifications and adjustments as necessary; performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.

  • Requires formal training and some experience.

SITEAS

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or 2 year technical degreealong with3 years ofexperience in System Test such as structural, mechanical or electrical work OR 5+ years' experience in System Test such as structural, mechanical or electrical work in lieu of the degree

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Active Secret Clearance to start with an investigation in the last 6 years (in scope)with ability to gain access to Special Programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active in scope Top Secret clearance

  • Willing to work travel for extended periods and off shift work.

  • Aerospace experience

  • Previous military technician experience
