Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for aSupply Chain Planning Specialist 3to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
Manage various projects that provide visibility to program areas regarding cost and schedule
Proactively investigate procurement needs and work to resolve issues/barriers that bring risk to schedule
Provide status, visibility, and ECD's to our customers and IPT's
Meet with zone supervisors/leads to identify priority/CRIT parts and expedite material through process as required
Perform SAP/MES investigation/reconciliation on parts and requirements to ensure proper alignment to master schedule
Closely coordinate with multiple functions outside of their own (sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, assembly operations etc.) in regards to supplier capability, capacity, and lead times, and work to understand schedule/provide forecasted future demand
Position requires collaborative interface with Procurement management and the buyers. This will ensure that the buyers are kept in front of any communications with the suppliers regarding parts on contract
Position will brief leadership on status of WIP and any production problems potentially impacting schedule

Bachelor's degree and6 years of Global Supply Chain experience or Master's degree with 4 years.
Working knowledge of SAP
Current and active Secret security clearance is required. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with outside vendors and customers
Experience coordinating efforts between multiple internal functions within GSC, GME, Quality, Manufacturing, etc.
Prior experience leading projects
Active program clearance
