Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals for a position based out of Palmdale, CA.
You will perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties and may work out of a central warehouse. You will use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting. Follow shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. You will receive incoming materials or prepare materials for shipment. Unpack or unwrap items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc. You will also verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; log receipt of items on system, process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; report materials shipped and bills of lading; post weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
Responsibilities include: Physical handling of a wide range of material of all sizes and shapes; crating/ boxing and wrapping material in preparation of shipment per security guidelines; maintain ship/receive records (paper and database); perform basic quality inspections of material received; and transport material to/ from Northrop Grumman sites and/or local vendors/ suppliers as required.

Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
Experience in warehousing, packaging, handling, shipping and receiving.
Experience in logistic elements, supportability, maintainability and logistics support analysis.
Experience in operating and maintaining standard warehouse equipment/vehicles (i.e. fork lift, warehouse tug, and bobtail).
Knowledge of AFI 23-101 and 23-101.
Experienced with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Able to lift up to 45 lbs.
Strong customer engagement and communication skills.
Must meet medical requirements for worldwide travel, accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 40 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements to include required immunizations and vaccinations.
Have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
Hold a minimum active DoD Secret security clearance.
Must be able to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission is a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Top Secret clearance preferred.
Experience with Asset Management tools.
Familiarity with FAR/DFAR regulations.
Understanding of government Bench Stock, Bonded Stock, and Shop Stock requirements.
Experience in predicting and planning support equipment spares and consumable usage rates.
Experience in logistic elements; supportability, inventory management and logistics support.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $83,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
