Northrop Grumman is looking for a highly-motivated Electronics Engineer 3 join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
Our team operates in three segments: Design Engineering, DevOps, and Production/Responsible Engineering. Our Design Engineering team engineers the system and produces the procurement and drawing documentation required to physically build the product. Our DevOps engineering team develops and tests the documentation, automated scripting, and media needed to configure the system network and install a COTS baseline infrastructure. Our Production and Responsible Engineering team physically builds, configures, and sustains or delivers the system. Our Responsible Engineers are often asked to lead a team of technicians for system builds and manage the process end to end.
Responsible for building, integrating, and testing software and hardware in complex IT systems
Oversight of architects, engineers and technicians building systems and installing Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) Software
Developing and releasing engineering documentation for the system configuration
Responsible for maintaining build schedule to the program requirements
Build, integrate and test software/hardware systems and ensure that the installations are properly implemented
Implement engineering changes to the system as required
Test and release of system in a documented configuration
Assist in the design and definition of system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security
Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.
Develops and recommends corrective actions. May provide technical guidance to engineering and software developers.

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
Minimum of 5 years of STEM related experience OR Master's Degree and 3 years of STEM related experience
Active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance within 4 years of last investigation and the ability to be accessed to a Special Access Program (no SAP/SAR restrictions)
Willing to travel appx. 25% within the U.S.
Experience in performing unit test and initial software/hardware integration and lab/bench testing, developing and maintaining the associated software documentation (hardware and software requirement specifications, hardware design specifications, etc.)
Experience with Solaris 10 or 11
