Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Palmdale.

The selected candidate will support a program IPT in executing multiple support activities.

Essential Functions:

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports (EVMS). Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. This position will also provide support and products for the following: CDRLs, Staff and team meeting support, tracking hardware and working with suppliers, as well as Proposal support as needed. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

This is a high visibility role that gets to integrate vertical and horizontally across the IPT to ensure successful program execution. Be prepared to do something different and challenging every day: tackle problems, and generate solutions.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum 3 years Project Management experience required.

  • Must have an active Top Secret DoD clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access.

  • Regular use of MS-Office and MS-Project.

  • Earned Value knowledge and experience.

  • Understanding of standard project management principles and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree

  • AP418 Access
