Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 3) or Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the Planning, Requirements and Delivery organization. This position is on-site located in either Palmdale, CA or El Segundo, CA on a 9/80A schedule .
In this role you will support the STRIKE division by executing material activities within our ERP system such as analyzing requirements, timely release of purchase requisitions, and executing stock transfers. As a buy MRP analyst, you will coordinate with other departments to ensure demands are fulfilled and schedule is protected. A successful candidate will have an existing understanding of requirements and replenishments. Demonstrate the ability to think analytically and convert complex data into actionable information. Provide support to internal customers and solve complex problems. Strong communication skills to transmit relevant information both up and down the functional GSC organization.
Key Responsibilites:
Defines and develops material strategies to meet manufacturing timelines and quality requirements.
Assesses supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; and evaluates production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products.
Participates in the make/buy process, long-term capacity, and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management, and product-line management.
Utilizes MRP tools to analyze supply/demand requirements, monitors inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements, and maintains accurate material lead times.
Collaborates with Program Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to develop solutions to a variety of challenges in order to meet manufacturing and testing schedules per the Integrated Master Schedule.
Receives and reviews requirements for non-standard parts, assesses and addresses the schedule impact of design revisions, and communicates material position as it relates to production and financial forecasts.
Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements. Creates and adjusts requirements and requisitions.
Interfaces with Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed.

Basic Qualifications (Principal Supply Chain Specialist)- LEVEL 3:
Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret Clearance
Knowledge of SAP or other similar ERP/MRP system and experience with data sets including analyzing large data sets
Bachelor's Degree with 6 years combined experience or Masters Degree with 4 years experience in Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, Project Management, or other GSC related field.
May consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree
Basic Qualifications (Senior Principal Supply Chain Specialist)- LEVEL 4:
Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret Clearance
Knowledge of SAP or other similar ERP/MRP system and experience with data sets including analyzing large data sets
Bachelor's Degree with 10 years combined experience or Masters Degree with 8 years experience in Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, Project Management, or other GSC related fields

Current NGC Special Program Access
Current active DOD Secret Clearance that has been investigated in the last 5 years
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
Experienced communicator with ability to present information in an organized and effective manner to program and executive leadership
Experience with the SAP MRP system and Excel spreadsheets
Salary Range: $86,300 - $129,500
Salary Range 2: $107,000 - $160,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
