Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
The selected candidate will lead proposal development efforts and Request For Information (RFI) response efforts to include compiling cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) and RFI specifications. In concert with the Capture / Proposal Manager, this position will develop Bid & Proposal estimates for the Product Support IPT for all logistics related tasks.
Project Management experience to include development and tracking of project milestones, measuring performance and ensuring successful completion of organizational goals. Experience integrating new software and hardware requirements through testing, evaluation, and documentation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Interpreting RFP/SOW language to fully understand the scope of work to include derived requirements.
Develop and implement schedules for completion of milestones and tasks; oversee execution to completion.
Coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from the capture manager, technical leads, past performance leads, key personnel leads, contracts, HR, subcontracts and pricing.
Research and analyze historical data, develop cost models to support proposal efforts, coordinate activities and participates in fact-finding meetings, participate in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and/or customer representatives
Develop risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis
Conduct proposal review meetings
Author supplier SOWs and perform technical evaluation on supplier proposals
Brief program senior leadership
Bachelor's degree and a minimum 6 years of experience in project management or logistics.
Current and active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain special program access
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of tools and applications
Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or Accounting
Current Top Secret Clearance with Special Program Access
3 years of exposure or experience dealing with US government contracting in the defense industry
Prior experience in Pricing, Contracts, Business Management or Cost Estimating
Working knowledge and experience with Earned Value Management
