Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Principal Project Management/Senior Principal Project Management professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale or Rancho Bernardo, CA . Some travel between those sites may be required. Teleworking is not available as an option.
This position will report to the Program Integration Team (PIT), supporting Enterprise Operations, and oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as liaison between multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Technical Teams, Operating Units, project managers, and project teams.
Primary duties will include reviewing status of projects and budgets, managing schedules, and preparing status reports. The selected candidate will assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with stakeholders, including internal and external customers. Gather requirements and works across multiple teams to support program SOW.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 6 years of experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution; 4 years with Master's degree for a Principal level; or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 10 years of experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution; 8 years with Master's degree for a Sr. Principal level
Current, active DoD Top Secret clearance within 4 years of last investigation/adjudication
Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project) and Agile principles including use of associated tools such as Jira and Confluence
Knowledge of Project Management principles
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

Master's Degree
Project integration experience, including strong written and verbal communication, work well with cross-functional and diverse groups, presentation skills, and working with senior leadership
Possess the ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
Be able to organize and execute tasks well and to a level of completion that creates value given vague success criteria
SharePoint and Tableau experience
Have a positive attitude and be able to overcome obstacles well
Able to learn new processes and technical information quickly
Aerospace and/or Defense Industry Experience
Salary range Principal Project Manager : $86,300 - $129,500
Salary range Sr. Principal Project Manager : $107,000 - $160,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
