The Weapon Systems and Operations business unit within the Global Logistics and Modernization division of Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a Sr. Principal Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Palmdale, California .
As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will have the opportunity to partner with an internal clientbase to deliver exceptional HR support in the areas of HR policies,processes, and programs (e.g. merit and promotion planning, performancemanagement, talent and career development, staffing/recruitment, etc.). You will also work closely with leadershipand employees to improveworking relationships, build employee engagement, resolve employee relations,increase productivity and develop retention strategies.
This position can be filled at the Principal or Sr. Principal level.
Interprets, applies, implements, and consults / advises on a variety of initiatives such as talent development, compensation, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, organizational change management, and policy
Supports manager-level leaders and above in a dispersed environment.
Supports many projects at one time with competing priorities
Utilizes strong project management skills and attention to detail
Builds lasting relationships and collaborative partnerships as the basis for influencing direction and driving change
Dissects the root cause or core problem to solve and bring appropriate solutions and resources to bear
Drives leader development and succession planning strategies/processes with a talent mindset
Assesses, diagnoses and designs creative and innovate organizational solutions
Translates business strategy into implications for workforce (hiring, shaping, etc.)
Strategically visualizes the big picture and connects the dots, diving into the details as necessary
Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance adjudicated within the past 5 years
Must be able to meet additional program clearance requirements
Ability to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)
Must be able to work on-site in Palmdale, California
Principal Level Basic Qualifications:
Must have one of the following:
High school diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of HR experience
Bachelor's degree with a minimumof 6 years HR experience
Master's degree with a minimum 4 years HR experience
Sr. Principal Level Basic Qualifications:
Must have one of the following:
High school diploma / GED with a minimum of 14 years of HR experience
Bachelor's degree with a minimumof 10 years HR experience
Master's degree with a minimum 8 years HR experience
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance adjudicated within the past 5 years
Aerospace Industry experience
