Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Industrial Engineer to join our team in Palmdale, CA.
The selected candidate will be conducting engineering functions that support the industrial aspects of production, specifically Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) installations and Aircraft Test Procedure (ATP) activities for Air Vehicle Tests.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Effectively create and optimized project schedules
Understand and implement ATPs/Tests/installations with the production team
Independently act and make decisions without much oversight
Capture and communicate variances to schedule/hours
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced production work that require little to no oversight. You are able to collaborate in team settings across all levels including IPT. You are comfortable working in and around test environments and able to collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers and production supervisors.
· Bachelors degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or a Masters degree with 4+ years of relevant experience. Note: An additional 4 years of aircraft assembly / coatings experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
· Active DoD Secret clearance having a 5 year review
· Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access
· Experience in and or around Air Vehicle Test
· Experience with EVMS
· Experience with SAP and/or MES
