Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Communications System Test Conductor to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
The Communications System Test Conductor must have experience with instillation, integration and troubleshooting of aviation related communications systems or component sub-systems, RF Line of Sight, SATCOM and tactical networks.
Roles and Responsibilities:
System integration, test development/execution of various types of communications systems
Document system requirements and interfaces
Troubleshooting systems interacting and coordinating with responsible communications engineers responsible for sustaining communication sub-systems
Serve as an interface between the O&T organization and the engineers
Ensure communication system performance meets specified levels
Proactively maintain overall system performance of a deployed communication system
Perform troubleshooting, document issues and coordinate field replacements/upgrades of communications systems
Contribute to improvement of processes, design and future sustainment efforts.
Actively participate in Program Risk and Opportunity Management
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR 3+ years with a Masters OR 0+ years with a Ph.D. OR HS Diploma/GED and with 9+ years of exempt experience or 18+ years of relevant non-exempt experience
Practical working experience with various types of RF systems
Active DOD Top Secret Security Clearance (within 5 year scope)
Aptitude to learn new material quickly.
Must be a self-directed technical performer with strong communication skills, demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary technical trades, and ability to develop & execute to a strategy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
Must possess working knowledge in Systems Engineering
Experience with the integration and test of aviation related communications systems or component sub-systems
Working knowledge of communication engineering theory
Top Secret/SCI clearance with Active SSBI required with investigation date in last 5 years.
Prior communications systems test experience.
Prior experience with multiple program phases (Design, Development, Production, Operations) and experience working with engineering teams.
