Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Mission Planner/Systems Test Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

Essential Functions:

  • Tasked to plan B-2 Flight Test and Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) missions using JMPS (Joint Mission Planning System), LMDPS (Laboratory Mission Data Preparation System) and PFPS (Portable Flight Planning System).

  • Ensure specific requirements of all flight test missions are coordinated with responsible engineers and aircrew members to provide accurate mission planning data.

  • Build flight mission cartridge and produce all required mission support documents, such as flight plans, charts, and weapons data.

SITEAS

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Science, Technology, Engineering &Mathematics(STEM) degree with5 or moreyears of experience in Mission Planning

  • Computer Linux / Windows Operating systems and Application skills a must.

  • Currently has a DOD Secretwith an investigation in the last 6 yearsand able to obtain a TS//SAR clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with COMSEC

  • 5 years or more of Flight Operations experience

  • Holds 8570 Security + Certificate
