Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager of Facilities Engineering 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA . The selected candidate will manage a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting and operating to objectives and providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives and company policy.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage Service Contract Coordination. Lead Contractor Coordinators managing vendor services to complete outsourced statement of work related to construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and infrastructure and equipment via the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, heating, painting, electronics, fire protection systems, production line maintenance technicians, HVAC mechanics, equipment controls programming, remote monitoring systems and/or general maintenance, housekeeping, and landscaping. Manage and identify budgetary requirements to execute reoccurring vendor services as well as one-time services to complete repairs.

  • Manage all aspects of the Palmdale tool crib, including but not limited to, Ordering, Receiving, Issuing, Cycle Counting, and Inventory adjustments to ensure data accuracy. Develop and sustain budgetary requirements to ensure stock levels are maintained and available.

  • Manage the planning statement of work to mature current and on-coming work plans, material demand, asset details, and capacity requirements to ensure work orders are generated to sustain asset health and reliability of infrastructure and production related asset/systems. Continuously review workflow data to discuss trends, gaps, and opportunities for level loading, ordering, and efficiencies.

  • Manage the integrated schedule for preventative maintenance required in program space.

  • Works closely with and/or provides advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facilities infrastructure and equipment maintenance.

  • Collaborates with facilities engineering, projects, and maintenance management teams to propose solutions and strategies to business challenges and incoming equipment/systems.

  • Sets priorities and performs forecasting and allocates the resources needed to complete all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

  • Supervises employees who specify and prepare statements of work to maintain, repair, upgrade and replace facilities infrastructure assets.

  • Administers or coordinates with personnel who administer maintenance and repair contracts and purchase spare parts.

  • Provides status on maintenance metrics performance to leadership.

  • Represents Facilities maintenance organization in site and program functional coordination meetings.

  • Develops requirements and administers budgets, schedules and standards of performance for site maintenance.

  • Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.

  • Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.

  • Utilizes Maximo computerized maintenance management system to schedule, track and report on infrastructure maintenance, service requests/work orders and trouble calls.

  • Perform functional responsibilities related to day to day management including performance management, career development, and engagement strategy execution.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with 2 years' experience, OR a Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience OR a High School Diploma/ Equivalent and 9 years' experience in facilities, operations and/or similar industry experience.

  • Leadership experience including managing teams, achieving organization objectives/goals and/or metrics.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Ability to brief senior level management and executive leadership

  • Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Security Clearance as requested by the business.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree

  • 2 or more years of leadership experience in a facilities maintenance or operational role managing teams and achieving organization objectives, goals and metrics

  • Experience working in a mission critical facility environment

  • Aerospace industry experience including familiarity with aerospace equipment and manufacturing facilities infrastructure

  • Experience using Maximo and/or other maintenance management system
