Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems - Communications organization is seeking a Manager of Creative Operations, reporting to the Communications Director, Air Dominance Division (AD) and the Palmdale Aircraft Integration Center of Excellence (PAI CoE).
This individual will lead the Creative Operations Integrated Project Team (IPT) for programs and the Restricted Air Program Communications IPT at the Aircraft Center of Excellence in Palmdale, CA and multiple sites in the U.S.
In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:
Provide leadership and direction to Creative Operations Team members at the Palmdale site
Oversee and manage video production, photography, graphic design, animation, presentations, live event support, publications, proposals, reports and print services to the Palmdale site, IPT and Air Dominance programs
Collaborate with peers across the Creative Operations and Communications Management teams to include participation in respective communities of practice
Manage employee performance (including engagement strategies for higher performers and corrective actions for lower performers)
Remain abreast of state-of-the-art and emerging technologies in graphic design, animation, live events and other creative media tools and disciplines supported at the sites
Operate within the defined indirect budget, utilizing the Communications Management System to monitor budgets and oversee on-site program budgets for both Contract and Service Level Agreements
Ensure strict adherence to operational security requirements
A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business or other liberal arts field
At least 7 years of experience in communications, media, marketing and/or advertising
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Experience leading or managing a team
Budget management experience
Excellent collaboration, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as the ability to effectively interface with and influence all levels of management
Experience leading and mentoring individuals in their professional development
Strong strategic thinking, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to support and enhance strong communications standards, workflows and branding guidelines
Excellent project and team management skills
Inquisitive, disciplined, intelligent, confident and flexible.
Affinity for developing relationships with high level officials and/or industry leaders.
