Our Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Maintenance Electrician 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
The selected candidate will have a work history appropriate to the electrical skill areas in the installation, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of infrastructure buildings, equipment and machinery that supports manufacturing and production in an industrial setting; must be proficient with the use of electronic and digital test equipment and of listed types of equipment in addition to a variety of hand and power tools and be computer and schematic/blueprint literate; and must be familiar and trained with electrical safety Arch flash, and Lock out - Tag-out (LOTOBO), respirator, man lifts, boom lifts, etc.
In this role, your primary assignment will include planned, preventative, troubleshooting and repair maintenance. Some jobs maybe in extreme/dirty environments - outdoors or confined spaces, or working in and around flight line operations. Job scope includes sustaining electrical systems from 120 volts up to 13,800 volts, lighting systems, generators, VFD's, grounding systems, sub-station and transformer maintenance, connections and modifications. Areas may include, but are not limited to: Automated manufacturing equipment including robotics, CNC machine tools, PC based production equipment, warehouse -automated retrieval systems, and building mechanical systems such as overhead cranes, hoists, lifts and roll-up/hanger doors, machine controls, motors. Other duties in this role include:
• Reporting on work orders
• Conserving maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Performing machine condition- risk assessments and critical spare parts inventory studies.
You will be required to safely team with other organizational technicians and leads, OEM - vendors/contractors, and sometimes work across shifts or with infrastructure buildings maintenance, during Holidays and during planned or unplanned outages to achieve goals and customer satisfaction.
Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of electrical experience.
Experience in installation, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of infrastructure buildings, equipment and machinery that supports manufacturing/production in an industrial setting
Proficient with the use of electronic and digital test equipment, hand tools and power tools
Familiarity with and/or training in electrical safety, Arch flash, Lock out - Tag-out (LOTOBO), respirators, man lifts and boom lifts.
Ability to read and interpret schematics/blueprints
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
Ability to travel between sites up to 50% of the time
Must have a clean DMV driving record
Specialized mechanical/electrical certifications
