Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems located in Palmdale, CA has an opening for a Software Engineer 4. The qualified applicant will become part of our Aerospace Systems Sector's Advanced Software IPT working in a process-oriented software development environment. The position is for a Java software developer and integrator with a primary focus on integration.
Analyze, design, develop, test, modify and maintain Java applications and support tools utilizing software engineering best practices and standards; participating in the full life-cycle activities of software development to include requirements, modeling, design, implementation, unit and integration test, release, installation and maintenance of software products.
Support advanced systems in a fast paced laboratory environment of hardware and software integration.
The candidate will participate in a process-oriented environment developing high quality products to our customers.
Will serve in a leadership role on software development and integration efforts.
Mentoring junior engineers
Basic Qualifications :
9+ years of software development or software test experience with a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineeringof Mathematics (STEM) discipline or 7+ years of experience with Master's degree, or 5+ years of experience with a PhD.
Active DOD Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain Special Access security clearance.
*Experience in developing/integrating enterprise solutions for Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) in a SOA environment
*Experience in object oriented programming, design patterns, JMS, Web Services, XML and related technologies (i.e., XPath, XSLT, XSD).
*Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree.
