Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Engineer Mechanical 2, Liaison Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

The selected candidate will develop and release Engineering dispositions in an MRB system.

Essential Functions:

  • Interpret Engineering drawings and documentation for Production personnel

  • Investigate and provide Engineering dispositions for Requests for Information/Change (RCI)

  • Work with CATIA V5 and MES systems

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a shop environment and be able to collaborate closely with other disciplines both engineering and non-engineering related.

Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from accredited institution.

•Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering discipline.

•Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

•Experience with CATIA V5 and/or NX-CAD.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Masters in ME, AE or Civil Eng

• Knowledge of NGC best design practices and applicable processes.

• Expert knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Minimum 2 years of aircraft design/liaison experience.

• Experience with MRB process.

• Full life cycle of an air/space vehicle design support process.

• Familiar with M&P testing and analysis of composite structure.

• Team player and demonstrated exceptional collaboration.
