Implement and sustain advanced automated systems for production manufacturing. Perform project management and apply systems thinking during implementation in order to meet cost, schedule and technical constraints. Manage continuous improvement efforts during sustainment that overcome obsolescence, optimize spares and maintainability, functionality enhancements, technology maturation and increase productivity. May be required to lead a multi-functional team during system transition to production to ensure system meets requirements in production while documenting system attributes including but not limited to system architecture, operation, and maintenance. Support and manage supplier deliverables during the system implementation including requirements management, system build and acceptance testing, installation, validation and warranty period. Apply systems engineering concepts to system verification and validation phase and manage stakeholder concurrence on system effectiveness. Perform and manage the system NC Programming process in production. During sustainment, perform recovery procedures after anomalous events and return system to production performance. Support total system lifecycle management including project management during retrofit, overhaul, adding new capabilities, and respond to changes to production requirements.
Bachelor's Science STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Degree and a minimum 2 years of engineering experience. Additionally, one must be familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project, have CAD experience, manufacturing engineering experience, composites fabrication and tooling concepts. This position requires having a minimum of an active Secret Clearance to start, the ability to obtain special program access and the ability to maintain both.
