Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for ato join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be primarily located in Palmdale,CA. This position is open to being supported out of El Segundo and Rancho Bernardo. If located out of El Segundo and Rancho Bernardo, up to 50% travel may be required.
The Electronic Warfare Development Responsible Engineer 5 is expected to be a highly-motivated self-starter with the ability to own and manage all efforts related to meeting assigned Electronic Warfare payload commitments for the program you are assigned for technical performance, cost, schedule and supplier management.
Understand thoroughly all system requirements; develop statements of work, specifications and interface control documents and participate in all related design reviews.
Provide technical guidance and coordination across the cross-functional team between program areas.
Supplier management including SOW, schedule, cost, understanding what CFE & GFE supplier needs to accomplish their SOW, and how the SOW maps to the schedule/IMS both at NG and supplier.
Own interface with Program Management.
Task & IMS management for all related program activities.
Reporting regular status, accomplishments, and technical/resource/staffing challenges to team and IPT management.
Program Risk & Opportunity Management.
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) related degree.
Must have at least14 years of Engineering experience or a Master's Degree and12 years of experience.
Must have practical working knowledge of Electronics Warfare system integration.
Must have supplier management experience.
Active in-scopeDOD Secret security clearance required to start with the abilityto gain Special Programs access.
Master's Degree in Engineering
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
MS Office, scheduling methods, and technical writing skills (including proposals).
Demonstrated ability to communicate with different levels of employees (managers, supervisors and team members) and negotiate / integrate different viewpoints.
Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems, develop solutions, and make decisions that impact the organization's credibility, operations and services.
Documented ability to interpret numerical data for reporting purposes and prepare and analyze data and figures.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Top Secret Clearance.
