Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Airborne Systems Operator 4 in Palmdale, CA.
This is a Flight Test Aircrew position including Weapons System Operator/Combat Systems Operator and/or Payload Operator. Airborne test experience in flight sciences, human machine interface, cockpit/workstation evaluation, radar systems, EO-IR systems, EW systems and military mission areas are all required.
Responsibilities include developing test techniques, assisting in cockpit/workstation design, working with flight test engineers creating test plans, developing test products, evaluating systems in the laboratory environment, simulation, ground test, flight test, and reporting on test results.
Will be an aircrew member and must have the ability to obtain and maintain aircrew qualifications.
Experience in flight testing, with ability to work with engineering to develop solutions to integration issues, and to bridge between the customer users and Northrop Grumman designers. SITEAS
9 Years experiencein aerospacewith Bachelors; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
Current Class III medical certificate with the ability to obtain and maintain a FAA flight physical
Current DoD Top Secret clearance required
Experience in systems such as: radar systems, EO-IR systems, EW (Electronic Warfare) systems.
Preferably BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math
Experience directly related to a military aviation mission area â€ ISR, Tactical, Strike, or Reconnaissance
Experience with lab integration, and testing processes for emerging capabilities.
Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills
Excellent communications skills, including the ability to brief test results toleadership
