AstroAerospace, a Strategic Business Unit of Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, iscurrently in search of an Program Planning Scheduler Analyst 2/3 to support ourPricing, Cost & Schedule group in our Oxnard, CA, facilities. TheScheduler/Planning Analyst 2/3 is responsible for the implementation of standardprocesses and tools and program planning and control practices. Thisposition will work within a team environment consisting of program management,technical, production, financial and other supporting staff.

Theideal candidate will have strong team building skills, exhibit strong leadershippotential, and possess comprehensive verbal and writtencommunication/presentation skills.

* Roles & responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: *

  • Creates valid and effective Program Integrated Master Schedule(IMS) that incorporate all dependencies, aligns to resource availability, andidentifies and aligns program milestones with contractual need dates.

  • Establishes ground rules and assumptions, and ensures compliance withapplicable EVMS guidelines

  • Identifies & validates the critical path, runs performance andhealth check metrics.

  • Conducts trend analysis and reports data, e.g. late start/finish,forecasts date impacts, manages program schedule margin, and changes to criticalpath(s)

  • Monitors and develops work around utilizing schedule accelerationtechniques to achieve additional margin, monitor & de-conflict internal andexternal influences to resources and the critical path.


  • Monitors the Program IMS to ensure the IPT Performance MeasurementBaseline (PMB) supports the Programs execution Plan & ensures cost/scheduleintegration.

  • Works with the IPT Lead, functional managers and control accountmanagers to identify internal and external dependencies, milestones anddeliverables.


* Basic Qualifications: *

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering,Finance, Operations Management, Mathematics, Computer Science or relatedfield with three (3) years of professional related experience -OR - a Master's Degree as described with one (1) year of professional related experience. (Otherdegrees may be considered if coupled with extensive related skills andexperience)

  • One (1) year of project scheduling experience using Microsoft Project orother related scheduling tool.

  • Experience using MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint,and Word.

  • Near term travel to Carpinteria/Goleta facilities may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of project scheduling experience and advanced schedulingskills in Microsoft Project or other related scheduling tools.

  • Experience using Schedule Health Analysis tools and Schedule RiskAssessment tools.

  • Experience supporting Projects/Program of different size, contracttypes, and complexity.

  • Workingknowledge of EVMS guidelines and processes.
