The Capture Management Manager 3 Position for Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, CSMT, MRPS - IMS will lead new business pursuits, along with supporting strategic development and planning activities in support of customers as part of the business units Business Development team. This position is located in Orlando, Florida.
This is a senior-level position requiring the blend of Technical, Finance, Business Development, Proposal, Team Building and strategic thinking skills to be successful. The candidate selected for this position will lead, perform and teach detailed analysis in customer and competitor strategic directions, and will lead/facilitate detailed analysis of customer funding, tactical award tendencies, competitor tactical bid strategies/tendencies, and Northrop Grumman's price to bid / design to cost recommendations. Will directly supervise all Capture managers working captures within the OU, will conduct capture training for junior Capture managers, must be a SME developing and executing capture plans. Will oversee the OU's NCTA and ensure all targets are appropriately funded. Will lead the OUs interface with the BU and Division Capture and BD personnel.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leading capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts or task order business
Developing capture strategy and tactics including business solution for pursuit of opportunities with a solid business case and ROI
Developing relationships with teaming partners and industry associations to help drive partnerships
Maintaining strong interpersonal and presentation skills that convey confidence and domain knowledge.
Developing competitive assessments, teaming strategies, and prices-to-win analysis results applied to improve competitive posture
Participating in bid and proposal activities to deliver compelling and compliant proposals
Maintaining on-going interactions with all stakeholders and functional organizations that provide input to a program pursuit
Possess a high energy level and be an open communicator/collaborator to all levels of the organization
Be able to communicate effectively with Executive Management
Be dedicated to the team and business area
Have a willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
Demonstrate integrity beyond reproach
Be able to work independently with limited supervision and meet company requirements and work in a fast paced and challenging environment
Demonstrated strategic capture experience and skills as a respected team leader leading functional teams to win
Demonstrated skills in planning and program operations knowledge addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package
Bachelor's Degree in technical or business discipline and a minimum 15 years of combined experience with federal government business and operations procurement activities OR a High School diploma and an additional 4 years of related experience.
4 years management experience and experience with multiple new business captures in excess of $50M each
Must be US Citizen with an Active DoD(Department of Defense) Secret clearance.
Must be able to work on-site in Orlando, FL and the ability to travel up to 50% of the time domestically.
Experience working captures/proposals at Northrop Grumman
Proven win record on bids over $100M
Working knowledge of the competitive market place including prime bid tendencies
Strong existing relationships with division/BU and functional organizations including business management, contracts, supply chain, technology, and human resources
Credentials across all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) to include: strategy, opportunity shaping, identification, qualification, capture, bid, and keep sold activities
