Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Information Security Professional to fill a role that requires a broad array of knowledge and skills located in Orlando, FL.

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Ability to troubleshoot and think outside the box

• Ability to work independently and deliver quality artifacts on time

• Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) (NIST 800-53 controls)

• Strong writing skills for preparing technical documentation

• Proficiency with engineering hardware and software systems

• Proficiency with Windows and RedHat OS

• Proficiency with vulnerability scanning

• Strong understanding of Government Cyber security requirements and guidelines (NIST, RMF, DISA, DSS)

• Effective research skills to find solutions to technical and security challenges

• Participate in technical interchange meetings

• Soft-skills for communicating and relaying information to Government customer in a professional manner.

• Willingness and availability for periodic CONUS and OCONUS travel

The ideal candidate will have direct work experience in the activities listed above. They must have a broad knowledge of IT systems, the impacts of system hardening on those systems, and experience diagnosing and resolving issues caused by the system hardening. The candidate must be willing to travel occasionally (domestically and internationally).

This requisition may be filled at either a Level 2 or a Level 3

Education/Experience for Cyber Systems Engineer 2: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical discipline with 2 years of experience / 0 years with Masters / an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

• Education/Experience for Cyber Systems Engineer 3: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related technical discipline with 5 years of experience / 3 years with Masters/ an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

Basic Qualifications for both level 2 & 3:

• US Citizenship is required with an Interim or Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to achieve Tier 1 access eligibility

• Current DoD 8570 Certification IAT Level II or higher (Security , CISSP, etc.), CCNA, Network , OR ability to obtain certification within 6 months

• Experience in performing and analyzing vulnerability scans

• Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) (NIST 800-53 controls)

• Strong writing skills for preparing technical documentation

• Proficiency with engineering hardware and software systems

• Proficiency with Windows and RedHat OS

• Proficiency with vulnerability scanning

• Understanding of systems engineering processes

• Ability to thrive in multi-disciplinary environment

• Effective time management skills for timely delivery of artifacts and coordination of other administrative tasks

• Strong troubleshooting skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrated success working individually or as part of a team requiring little supervision

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications for both level 2 & 3:

• Experience providing input to proposals

• Working knowledge of network security, web security, application security, security assessments/testing, industry and DoD security best practices

• Understanding of DFARS 800-171 compliance and regulation
