Northrop Grumman Cyber Info Assurance Anlyst 2 / 3 in Orlando, Florida

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an experienced IT Security Professional to fill a role that requires a broad array of knowledge and skills in Orlando, FL.

The candidate will have many responsibilities such as:

Data & traffic analysis

Identifying security events (when and how to react to events)

Incident response activities

Develop trouble tickets & Support System Problem Report analysis

Perform system scans, administration, architecture, and engineering duties

Participate in technical interchange meetings

Provide support for development and enhancement of security engineering inputs to program documentation

Provide input to, and interface in customer meetings, or providing status input to higher level management

The ideal candidate will have direct work experience in the activities listed above. They must have a broad knowledge of IT systems, the impacts of system hardening on those systems, and experience diagnosing and resolving issues caused by the system hardening. The candidate must be willing to travel as the needed

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below

This requisition may be filled at either a Level 2 or a Level 3

Level 2: Typical Minimum Education / Experience : Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters / An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

Level 3: Typical Minimum Education / Experience : 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. / An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

Basic Qualifications for both Level 2 & 3:

US Citizenship is required and must have a current active DoDSecretsecurity clearance and able to achieve Tier 1 access eligibility for SAP/SAR Program.

Meet DoD 8570 Certification Requirements (e.g. Security + Certification and/or CISSP) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months

Familiarity with network security controls such as routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion management solutions, network access control, and related solutions

Strong troubleshooting skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience in installing and configuring Linux, Unix and Windows operating systems and applications

Demonstrated success working individually or as part of a team requiring little supervision

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work outside of normal working hours and weekends as needed to support the customer's needs

Preferred qualifications for both Level 2 & 3:

Security+ certification

CCENT working towards CCNA & direct experience with networking and CISCO switches and routers

Understanding of distributed simulation protocols (e.g., DIS, HLA)

Vulnerability assessment experience

Recent military experience or familiarity with DOD (Customer is USAF)
