Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to join our growing team in Oklahoma City, OK .
The selected candidate will have cost, schedule, and technical responsibility for E-3 MSG.
Provide direct supervision, development and coaching to engineering staff
Create project plans, including project schedules and budgets; identify skills and resources needed and work to ensure project is adequately resourced
Oversee and manage project execution to the plan; provide leadership and day to day direction to project team members
Develop project specific Technical/Key Performance Metrics for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet engineering requirements, and quality and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Integrate requirements vertically and horizontally across the project to ensure successful execution
Brief Northrop Grumman management and Air Force customers on project status and at milestone/technical interchange meetings
Identify and mitigate risks
Work with multiple engineering teams and cross-functional departments
Lead proposal activities for new projects.
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with9 years of system engineering experience or Master's degree with7 years of system engineering experience, or PhD with 4 years of system engineering experience
Demonstrated expertise in system engineering processes and products throughout much of the program life cycle, and providing technical leadership and guidance.
Understanding of the Integrated Management Framework (IMF) process and concepts
DoD Secret clearance required and the ability to gain program access
General understanding of NGTS Engineering processes
Proven performance as a Systems Engineering Leader in many of the phases of acquisition, design, integration, and execution. Candidate will require ability to rapidly assess and lend guidance to projects assigned to the organizational group as well as demonstrated mentoring and guidance to engineers.
Ability to assess program health and performance based on alignment of governing products and delivery schedules: SEMP, CLIN, IMP, WBS, IMS, manufacturing and sustainment plans
Understanding of the application and development of functional and physical architectures, interfaces, requirements analysis, functional decomposition, design synthesis, integration, verification, and validation in large systems using SysML/UML and requirements management tools such as Rhapsody, and DOORS.
Experience working onDoD related projects
Experience presenting project performance to upper management and customers
