The Systems Engineering function located in Ogden, Utah has a challenging opportunity for a self-starting, multitalented, team oriented, technical individual to support a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the performance of Occupational Health and Safety Engineering on DoD programs. Specific duties will include:
Provide a comprehensive evaluation of occupational safety hazard status and associated risks prior to system test or operation, before the next contract phase, or at contract completion.
Perform and document an assessment to identify the status, at the time of the report, of safety hazards, associated risks, mitigation measures, and formal risk acceptance decisions.
Evaluate and document explosives safety hazards.
Identification of hazards, risk estimating, and mitigations to reduce risk.
Support the development of Programmatic Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Evaluation (PESHE)
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, Bio-environmental Engineering, Health/Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field
Minimum2 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 0 years with a master's degree
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher
Demonstrated ability to translate system performance and operational specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications
Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams
Prior occupational safety experience for complex system development
Active Top Secret Security Clearance
