OVERVIEW Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electrical/Systems Engineer to provide Nuclear Hardness engineering for the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system and other programs.This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
Conduct nuclear hardness & survivability analyses, tests, and design, with an emphasis on electrical/magnetic analysis of hardness problems
Ensure electromagnetic effects are considered in weapon system design, development, and sustainment
Analyze electromagnetic effects (MIL-STD-461, EMP, lightning, ESD, HPM), ionizing radiation (gamma, neutron, and x-ray), and mechanical effects
Apply electrical principles to wide range of problems, including power, controls, RF, and circuit analysis
Use simulation tools for electromagnetic and radiation analyses, including PSPICE, Microcap, MATLAB, and ANSYS modeling suites (or similar)
BS in electrical engineering or related degree and 5 years of experience in activities directly related to job duties described above (3 years with Masters)
Experience performing EM effects testing, planning, and report generation
Experience with the simulation software packages listed above (or similar)
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance (or higher), and able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
Current DoD Top Secret Clearance (strongly preferred)
MS or PhD in electrical engineering or related field
ICBM work experience, particularly related to ICBM nuclear hardness and electromagnetic effects design, testing and simulations
