Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Staff Program Planning Scheduling Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Advanced Weapons Program Scheduling. This position is located in Northridge, CA . Work is expected to be conducted on-site.

This position's standard work schedule is a 4/10. The 4/10 schedule allows employees who work a ten-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every Friday off.

The ideal candidate will have strong teambuilding skills, exhibit strong leadership potential, and possess comprehensive verbal and written communication/presentation skills.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Create valid and effective Program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that incorporate all dependencies, aligns to resource availability, and identifies and aligns program milestones with contractual need dates.

  • Lead and mentor a team of program schedulers

  • Establish ground rules and assumptions, and ensure compliance with applicable EVMS guidelines.

  • Provide schedules visibility, reporting, and schedule analyses, performs risk analyses, and identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts.

  • Monitor the Program IMS to ensure the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) supports the Programs execution Plan & ensures cost/schedule integration.

  • Functioning as a change agent, creating an environment of trust, compliance, continuous improvement, and learning with a growth mindset.

  • Implementing scheduling best practices across the Sector, Divisions, and Programs as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to, the following: NDIA Planning & Scheduling Excellence Guide, DCMA 14-Point Schedule Assessment and DCMA EVMS Compliance Metrics (DECM), Integrated Program Management Report (DI-MGMT-81861A) and Integrated Program Management Data and Analysis Report (IPMDAR) DI-MGMT-81861B, Critical Path Method (CPM), CPM Analysis, Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) and Agile Framework.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 15+ years experience OR Master's Degree with 13+ years experience in Program Planning & Scheduling, Program Control, and/or similar industry related fields

  • Demonstration of a strong understanding of project management and earned-value management principles and their application to complex projects Applied experience with EVMS (Earned Value) policies and procedures

  • Experience with Microsoft Project/Project Server, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with Deltek Acumen, DCMA forProject Analyzer, DCMA EVMS Compliance Metrics

  • Familiarity with Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) and/or Integrated Program Management and Data Analysis Report (IPMDAR) requirements

  • Experience leading teams

  • Ability to work in Northridge, CA

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Operations Management, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field

  • Experience using Schedule Health Analysis (SHA) tools and Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) tools

  • Experience working with production schedules

  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum Methodologies

  • Experience supporting Projects/Program of different size, contract types, and complexity

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

  • Working knowledge of EVMS guidelines and processes

  • Current or able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $132,700 - $199,100

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
