Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Principal Production Planning and Scheduler (Level 3), or Senior Principal Production Planning and Scheduler (Level 4) to join our team to perform material and production planning duties on production as well as development/R&D efforts for complex systems, components and parts.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that materials and manufacturing order services are provided as needed. Confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.

This position may be filled as a Principal Production Planning and Scheduler (Level 3), or as a Sr. Principal Produciton Planning and Scheduler Level 4). Basic qualifications for each level are listed below.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for Principal (Level 3) are:

High school diploma AND a minimum of 10 years of related experience. Will consider a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of related experience.

Must have a current/active Secret clearance or higher that has been issued or adjudicated within the past five (5) years

Thorough knowledge of Material Requirements Planning

Experienced user of Deltek Costpoint

Experienced user of TipQA

Microsoft Office and Outlook proficient

Self-starter able to work with minimum supervision

Demonstrated problem solving skills

Proactive communicator

Detail-oriented

Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal (Level 4) are:

High school diploma AND a minimum of 14 years of related experience. Will consider a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience.

Must have a current/active Secret clearance or higher that has been issued or adjudicated within the past five (5) years

Thorough knowledge of Material Requirements Planning

Experienced user of Deltek Costpoint

Experienced user of TipQA

Microsoft Office and Outlook proficient

Self-starter able to work with minimum supervision

Demonstrated problem solving skills

Detail-oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or related field

Proven ability to work multiple tasks with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience with the manufacturing process of a Development program
