Northrop Grumman New Business & Production Program Manager in Northridge, California

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

This position is responsible for the management of Production & Depot repairs, including demand forecasting, future product upgrades, proposals and quotations for new business, and obsolescence management. Responsible for ensuring that NGIS is aligned and integrated across all elements of the Production & Depot organization to include Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, Property Management, Support Equipment and Program Management. Establish and manage a cross-functional team focused on meeting budget and schedule contractual requirements.

This position will also proactively create, cultivate, and enhance relationships with present and potential customers, key industry contacts, and US/foreign governments to identify new business opportunities. Developing and executing market strategies/plans to pursue and win contracts with the US Government, domestic and international companies as well as foreign governments.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop relationships and strategies to secure new business with U.S Government, FMS and DCS Customers for the existing product.

Lead and develop pricing proposals for domestic and foreign customers interested in our product.

Support Contracts to develop contract terms and strategy that align with NGIS and Customer needs.

Serve at Production Program Manager for Production & Repair activity

Lead the cross functional Integrated Product Team.

Participate in engineering efforts to ensure product availability via obsolescence mitigation and management.

Maintain a rapid reaction philosophy to customer demands and future needs.

Continuously seek improvements to Production & Depot efficiencies.

Schedule Management - Meet scheduled deliveries

Prepare presentations and present Production & Depot repairs status at customer Program Management Reviews

Service the customer (executing the program and resolving issues in accordance with business objectives, strategy, legal requirements, regulations, contract terms, and company policies)

Balance the interests of the customer, NGIS, and employees (ensuring stakeholder objectives are aligned)

Continuously seek improvements to Production & Depot efficiencies.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience and Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business or Engineering

10 years of relevant experience - 5 years of relevant experience as an individual contributor, AND 5 years of relevant team leadership experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Gov't issued DoD SECRET clearance within a timeframe set forth by Mgmt.

Experience with proposal development including pricing and delegations (ie. Commitment Reviews)

Demonstrated experience in effective and successful negotiations

Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

Current/Active SECRET clearance is strongly preferred.

Self-Starter with excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills

Team player who is results oriented; winner mentality

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Requires minimal supervision

Experience in dealing with Foreign Customers
