Northrop Grumman Deputy Program Manager 2 in Monterey, California
Northrop Grumman Technology Services (NGTS) sector is looking for a highly motivated leader, with managerial experience and an operations research or data science background, to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals providing large-scale, longitudinal analyses to support data-driven decisions in support of Army Analytics Group and DoD Senior Leaders.
This position is located in Monterey, CA and there is no telecommuting option available.
As a leader and manager you will perform as a Deputy Program Manager. This will require planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program control, and technical personnel involved in providing wide ranging analyses in the social sciences to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities will include:
-Establishing milestones and monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the effort
-Performing daily operations of the team (direct supervision of staff, assignment of work, and operating costs)
-Providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures
-Providing recommendations for resolution of technical problems
-Acting, in support of the PM, as primary contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Additional duties may include:
-Overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serving as aliaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
-Reviewing status of project budgets, schedules and status reports.
-Preparing contract level monthly status report.
-Assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives.
-Developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, operations researchers, data scientists, behavior scientists, and clients
Must hold a Bachelor's degree
Must possess a minimum of 5 years of managerial/leadership experience
Must have project management experience
Must have experience supporting a government organization
Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret level clearance
Master's Degree in DataScience or Information Technologyor other relevant field is strongly preferred
Experience with Army study development
Experience supporting analytics and data science efforts
Experience managing teams of data scientists and software engineers
Active DoD Secret Clearance
