Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a highly motivated International Trade Compliance Manager 1 , to join our growing team of diverse professionals. The selected candidate will support the DS Sector International Operations Manager with the international movement of articles and customs compliance activities. The International Trade Compliance Manager can join one of our teams on-site in Mesa, Arizona .

Responsibilities:

  • Manages a team up to 5 team members

  • Develops and manages comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies in the movement of supply chain goods and other business activities.

  • Manages operational processes for assuring trade compliance through gate reviews for export and import shipments

  • Establishes and maintains relations with appropriate government regulatory agencies.

  • Establishes operational processes for assuring trade compliance through gate reviews of technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits and export and import shipments including Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Schedule B classification reviews

  • Responsible for transaction guidance to sector assigned programs

  • Responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of regulatory data or documents

  • Maintains applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Supports law department in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints.

  • Establishes and maintains training and audit/assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls.

  • Generates performance metrics for export and import processes.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have one of the following:

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 14 years of export / import logistics or customs experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of export / import logistics or customs experience

  • Master's degree in business or related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of export / import logistics or customs experience

  • Licensed Customs Broker

  • Minimum 6 years' experience of U.S. Export and Import Regulations - FTSR; ITAR; EAR; CFR 19; ATF

  • Must have the ability to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)

  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

  • Must be able to work on-site in Mesa, Arizona

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance

  • Successful management job history
